Gary Barone, MBA, Senior Vice President
For more than 30 years, Gary Barone has been fully entrenched in the insurance and medical sales industries. A licensed insurance producer, he’s worked at such companies as GlaxoSmith Kline, NylCare and Mamsi/OCI. During Gary’s time with RJP he has been noted for his creative vision and strong support of nonprofit groups. As a pioneer and advocate of benefit choice for employees, Gary successfully lobbied carriers to expand offerings and used RJP buying power to accomplish this goal. Years ago, he initiated and organized an alliance of nonprofit organizations that joined together to purchase affordable group health insurance from NylCare. He has also had the foresight to organize and host health fairs for various clients to spark employee excitement during open enrollment – serving as a strong advocate of wellness long before it became a common marketplace trend. Also, Gary was instrumental in forging the longtime partnership between RJP and MACS (Maryland Association of Community Services). He is proud to serve as broker of record on the majority of the organization’s large group accounts today. Utilizing a strong team approach to ensure client needs are met, Gary’s mantra has been “improve benefits and reduce costs.”
